The main content of chitrakadi vati is Chitrak which is considered to be good appetizer. Chitrakadi vati is specifically work in various types of gastric disorders including anorexia, indigestion, nausea, diarrhea etc. It has stimulatory effect on gastric juices. It Helps in removal of the excessive gases or air in the stomach and controls the occurrence of flatulence. It has wonderful action on Irritable bowl syndrome in which constipation followed by diarrhea. By maintaining peristaltic movements of intestine it improves the symptoms. It can also give in conditions of painful urination. It is useful in obesity also as it improves metabolic rate of the body.

Effect on Tridosha - balances Vata and kapha. Improves Pitta.

Chitrakadi Gutika dosage:  (500 mg tablet) – 1 – 2 tablets 1 – 2 times a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

ChitrakadGutika side effects:

It might not be suitable for people with gastritis.

People with high BP should take this medicine only under medical care, since this medicine contains salt as ingredient.

Over-dosage may cause slight burning sensation in abdomen. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in cool dry place.

10 g fine powder of each of

Chitraka – Lead Wort (root) – Plumbago zeylanica

Pippalimoola – Long pepper root – Piper longum

Indication: Indigestion, Irritable bowel syndrone, flatulence, Abdominal colic.
